The art of magic in Jordon's life sprang from childhood in Akron, Ohio where he performed hist first magic at age ten on WAKR television. Three months later, he was awarded a regular spot on a featured children's program with the same network. He moved on to Kent State University where he studied theater. His expertise in the field of the performing art was recognized by the Neighborhood Play House in New York City which offered Jordon a scholarship.
